starsthatshine: (spn: dean wtf?)
I've decided since like I'm the only one that hasn't watched a single episode of Sex and the City, I thought I'd start now. I just watched the pilot and I'm at the beginning of the second episode. It's really interesting, it has some potential. I can get why people began to hype it so much.

I don't know why but every time I see an icon of Doctor Who, especially of David Tennant, I feel like posting something. I kinda love it.

Another thing I also really love today: my little sister. I haven't seen much of her today but she's in a good mood and she made chocolate balls (which I've been eating like crazy - I'm telling you, I'm gaining pounds by the second ;))

I was looking at the Office and it struck me how INCREDIBLY similar a guy in my class is to John Krasinski (for those of you who go in my class, you know Johan? I think he's really similar) not only physically but also a little bit in his mannerism. I don't know him so well so I can comment on his personality but... I don't know, something about him just strikes me as Jim-ish. I don't think you can find a closer Jim lookalike in real life, at least not around here.

Sometimes I really want to write a Supernatural fic but you know... Am I the only one who feels that the show is so awesome that it feels like you're... spoiling a perfect product? I mean, like you can't compete with the product they produce so, why bother? You know?

Am I alone in this feeling? I sort of makes me wish Supernatural was a bit more... bad, as horrible as it sounds. That way I would be able to write fic. :P
starsthatshine: (office: vi skulle passa bra ihop)
Yesterday I got this sudden urge to buy The Office on DVD. And when I say the Office, I mean the first and second season. They were super, not that the other seasons weren't great, but well... I don't remember much from season three, to be honest, and I think I need to rewatch. Anyway, I got that sudden urge and I checked up on prices, only to learn that of course I can't afford it *sigh* But anyway, Jim/Pam are so adorable, but of course there are lots of things that are wonderful about The Office besides that but they are kind of... I want my own Jim, you know? At least S1 and S2!Jim. S3!Jim was still cute but I don't know... as I said, don't remember much about that season.

I really feel like creating a RPG or something and create a character using Ariel Lin as character face. She might not be the prettiest girl around but she's pretty in the sense that she isn't perfect and she just has that adorable quality to her that I like. Anyway, anyone feel like creating some sort of RPG with me with original characters and stories of our own making? Suddenly the idea of having a Swedish RPG pops into my head and it seems oddly tempting, although I would adore to write an English one

Anyway, now I gotta go and figure out if I wanna watch a movie (and if so, what movie?) or if I wanna write a paper or if I wanna watch some Asian drama (maybe some more ISWAK, but I really wish I'd find another Asian drama to get obsessed by).
starsthatshine: (vm: secret weapon)
I started watching some Asian dramas again yesterday. Oh well, I watched the first episode and I suddenly realized that I would love to get my hands on some good dramas (like It Started With A Kiss, The Prince Who Turned Into A Frog etc.) and therefore, I ask help of you, flist, I know some of you like Asian stuff (sorry for not being more well-read on this but I can't tell a band member from a TV star) and I figured you might be of assistance. I like the story of cute, almost fairytale-like dramas that are sweet. I don't really like the sort of angsty stuff.

I'm also gonna try and catch up on the Office. Dunder Mifflin has missed me ;)

Cut for uninteresting 'do I need to work-out' babble )

Edit: Also, ISWAK 2? When, where, how? I've heard that the first episode is up but has the entire show been subtitled yet? I don't wanna start watching unless all the episodes are available (in case I grow like... addicted again).
starsthatshine: (betty: holding on for a hero)
I watched the first three minutes of The Office 4x04 (I sort of stopped watching for a while) and I laughed so bad. I loved the movie references and now Michael was trying to be all Meryl Streep because he was watching The Devil Wears Prada but then by the end, apologized and just... so frickin' awesome. I'm going to start watching this show again. 4x01-4x03 weren't my favourite episodes but hopefully 4x04 and the rest are going to be better. (I haven't watched all of 4x04)

Now it's the weekend, yay! I hope you all have awesome plans for your weekend. Personally, I'm gonna try and write something - a novel or start on a story or something... I don't know. I have a really huge urge to write but a constant case of writer's block, although I might have found a good plot, we'll see.
starsthatshine: (the office: not a bad day)
I saw The Office today after I'd revamped my sisters userpics. We got into such an Office mood after watching all those wonderful Jim/Pam icons that I have saved from season two. Season three is good, it's great writing and necessary plots but it wasn't the love that season two was. There was a lightness, a love and just so many things. Season three became filled with more angst than your average comedy show. Anyway, I also realized another ship besides Jim/Pam and Pam/Toby (poor Toby).... drum roll.... wait for it.... Ryan/Pam :D Those two seconds in Office Olympics when he throws away his medal... *squee* Oh well. A girl can dream ^^

Huge happy birthday wishes to [livejournal.com profile] awokentruth, [livejournal.com profile] mi_caline and [livejournal.com profile] geeky_webmaster. I hope you three have excellent birthdays. With lots and lots of cake.

What else? I'm on episode 25 with The Prince Who Turned Into A Frog. Which means it'll be over soon. *sniff* But I saw a Chinese series that might be interesting *grin* Although... I do love the Taiwanese series I've seen so far (well, the exception was The Devil Beside You because after a few episodes, it became so cheesy and bad that I couldn't bring myself to continue and Love Contract became too angsty so I started to feel really depressed... but it was still good) and not having a Taiwanese show to watch is going to feel weird. I'm used to watching Taiwanese series now.

Anyway, the Prince Who Turned Into A Frog owns. Watch it. ♥

I deleted all my userpics (!!) and uploaded new ones. I realized that I if I just delete some, I'm going to keep ugly ones which I've got emotional attachments to, but I'm in truth not so interested about having them. So now I've deleted all and started to upload new ones. It feels fresh. Now I just have to find a new layout.

Anyone know any good layout maker/css codes/looks/layout communities?

Also, what mood theme shall I use? I have a terribly difficult time deciding on a good mood theme. Suggestions?
starsthatshine: (harry potter - happy family)
This icon pwns. I love it how my sister made it with me in mind LMAO.

It feels so weird not having Semagic to assist you right now as I'm typing this entry in OpenOffice Writer. *headdesk* It's so weird and I can't understand where my dad's 'Notes' have disappeared. I realized that I don't do much in front of a computer any more. I hardly write anything these days (still waiting for my beta to return the epic long Sirius/Remus fic I did ages ago) and the only thing I really do is to watch shows (read: Asian shows since all the American and British ones are on hiatus), play Sims and well... I can't do anything of that on my computer time (30 min/day which is really nothing at all) so I check out OhNoTheyDidn't instead. That's how low I sink when I'm bored.

And to display what I'll be watching, here's a list (I can still add something if you convince me :P I just don't know what I'm in the mood for):
Supernatural
Ugly Betty (? Not sure)
Heroes (a given)
Dexter
Doctor Who
Torchwood
Skins (second season starts soon, right?)
Smallville (a REALLY big question mark there, I suppose I'll wait and see)
The Office

Not soo many shows come to think about it. I mean, Supernatural, I love that show, but if I'm forced to watch it on YouTube again... I'm not sure my love can survive such abuse. Ugly Betty is funny but... meh. I'm in a general anti-American tv show mood because well.. Dexter can be as American as it wish because I'd still watch it because it's so gloriously fucked up. Doctor Who won't start for ages and the same goes for Torchwood. Skins I really have no idea.

Smallville is... well, Smallville. It can be so incredibly bad. But I can't live without it. TV without Smallville is weird. I've grown accustomed to it. And well, Smallville has Lois. Which is good. And Clark. But they have Lana *groan* and if they make Chloe a romantic interest again... No. But Lois. But they also have whipped!Lex, which is bad. Really bad. We'll see.

The Office is a show which is always nice to watch but I find it difficult to be superinvolved with it. I guess I'll watch it mostly for entertainment ;)

So now to le grand question: What are YOU watching this upcoming TV season?

New vid :D

Within the last couple of days I've seen Northanger Abbey and Persuasion (the tv show/mini series versions). I just love those movies, especially the first one of those. It's so incredibly charming and Persuasion is just filled with this angsty stuff that I adore. ♥ Somehow I just love Austen books and movies made based on them (exception made by the Pride and Prejudice version with Keira that I will never ever see just because I know I'll be disappointed).

This icon is just eight pounds of adorable. :D I adore it so much. I wish there were more Charlie Brown icons out there.

I made a The Office fanvid which you can download here. Feedback is adorable :D

I am determined to think happy, creative thoughts but it seems like English class blocked my brain from my thinking process. I can't do anything at the moment. It's insane. We had creative writing in class and we were going to write a short story and I decided to write... well, something as uncreative as a short story about a girl who gets abused, which was pretty mainstream for my class since no one really could muster anything else.

I have two plans:

Plan A:
- Read Harry Potter and finish that god damn book already so I can move on with Goblet of Fire which I conveniently happened to leave at dad's.

Plan B:
- Rewatch season two of The Office.

Now, which plan do you like best? Which is the best way to occupy my mind? I'd naturally gone with RPG:ing (obsessed mind have I), but Emma is offline so that requires some thinking... So, plan a or b?

¤ Shopping for shoes with my mother, is not a good idea. I need to make a note of that. See, I hadn't eaten anything for breakfast and going into shoe stores makes me cranky so.... ehm, let's just say I was a ray of sunshine all the time.

¤ I wanna download the new episodes of The Office and Grey's Anatomy but my sister is evil and says that our brandwith needs to be saved because it will be killed because of all the shows we are watching.

¤ Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] britfacexx! I hope you have the most awesome birthday a girl can have.

¤ 254 icons @ [livejournal.com profile] withouttheworld. That was what I was doing while my internet was down.

¤ New chapter of Law of Nature here.

I'm eating these chocolate balls things that must be made out of coffee rather than this brown chocolate pounder stuff. I refuse to use my english dictionnary right now because I'm on a strike. Seriously. My mother must never come near chocolate balls making again (seriously, think nothing dirty about this) because she makes it out of coffee. Which contains one drug and like thirty-five toxins or something, so consider me stoned on caffine.

I'm so annoyed that stores still continues to sell their summer clothes etc. I say bring on the 'back to school' fashion and all the stuff that comes with it. Cheap pens, erasers, folders, bags (*sniff*) and those things. Not to mention I demand cheaper jeans. Not that it's that expensive for me. I only pay half and the rest of it my parents pay. But still, I demand it so I can buy more clothes. Or that they start some cool small shop with clothes that look like the clothes from TV shows and stuff. That would be awesome. I'm all over clothes today, but that might be for the 100% caffine in these chocolate balls. I might become a little bit hyper.

I'm a bit excited over this new TV season. Even though I decided that Smallville sucks a few years ago, I'm still going to give the show another try. Why? Two words. Aaron Ashmore. Although I seriously hope that they get over this Clark/Lana shit and Clark/Chloe. There needs to be some new pairings in Smallville. Seriously. Like I don't know... but Clark/Lex is eternal. Hear me? Eternal.

Then there's the new season of The Office (I had to mention them since I have an The Office icon). I'm megaexcited about that as well (def. not the caffine this time) since I can't think of anything I hate with that show. Maybe Roy but... no, I don't hate him. Again, megaexcited. Also, it's sorta sad how almost all of my The Office icons are Jim and Pam related. Seriously. I love so much about the Office. I mean, I love Phyllis, Ryan, everyone (even Michael) and I feel evil for not having icons of them, but it's so difficult to find those I can live with.

Let's see, what else? I wonder what's happened to The 4400? Whatever happened to that show? Okay, I admit I stopped watching about mid-season 2. But I still won't deny that Patrick Flueger is hot. He's like... slashy eye candy. And his character together with Jordan Collier... DAMN! That slashy goodness must have been seen by everyone.

Anything else I'm excited about? Probably loads of things but let's list the things I'm not excited about:

1. One Tree Hill (do I need to say more? It's a dead show running on empty water)
And well... that's about all I can think about folks.

Again, let's damn this caffine. I need to watch something good on TV now. I'll see if I can drag my sister along.
starsthatshine: (the office // save the receptionist)
I'm sorry, but I just had to post this just before I went to bed. The Office made me happy. And very sad. Spoilers for The Office finale )

Also, I'm growing addicted to One Tree Hill. Don't get me wrong - the show is lousy but Sophia makes such a good performance that I just have to like... watch the show or download vids and so. It's embarressing.

Now I need to go to bed :(
