Internet has died
Dec. 21st, 2008 09:54 pmI'm sorry I've sort of been absent but it would seem as though the Internet at my mother's have completely shut down and now that I'm at dad's... Let's just say that I won't be online that much. But some. I hope that Internet will start working again really soon (after all, I need to keep track on my applications, even if it's taking forever and a half).
I'm still waiting on some sort of confirmation letter from UCAS and that I can use Track, but it would seem as though I have none. At least not yet. Sure, it's the weekend now but if I don't get it by next week, I'm gonna be a bit... I don't know. I think it'll come.

Now I'm just counting the minutes until my sister shows up so we can watch Gossip Girl because I need to... not think for a bit. Just sit down and relax, which Gossip Girl is perfect for. Anyway, it's in Swedish and the current word count is 1,877. Anyone interested in reading? ^^

TWO DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS BREAK! Woohooo! *dances* Can you feel the joy? In honour of that joy, the first five that comment and say that they want a drabble/ficlet thingy will get one. I sucked at fulfilling icon requests but I'm confident in my writing abilities (sort of)... Just provide me with fandom and prompt. Fandoms I can write: Original (if you just want a short story or something that doesn't have a fandom association), Supernatural, Gossip Girl, Doctor Who, Heroes (with some restrictions, some characters such as Maya I can'twon't write) and Dexter (Never tried but I could). Some shows, sadly, I haven't seen in forever (such as Life on Mars) so it would be difficult to write from that.

The French Syndrome
Nov. 19th, 2007 06:01 pmMy French teacher is going to be the death of me. Seriously. We're supposed to learn an entire text by heart to next lesson. The problem is that since it's French and I'm like... the worst French talking person ever, it's a huge problem that involves a lot of anxiety. And apparently we have a lesson on Friday as well. AND AN ORAL EXAM! Eiiiikkkk!!! Seriously, words cannot describe how anxious and how terrified and how... lousy I feel looking at this. I love the lessons. I love listening to French. Right now I just want to skip it. I want to pull out of the entire course. But there are points to be made, grades to be given. It's more important than whether or not I feel good about it. I've been doing French for... many years now. I think it's approaching five. And I'm still rubbish.
If Dexter doesn't murder someone this today (2x08), I swear I will. Possibly myself. Right now there's not a hope in my sky. It's a phenomenon which I'd like to call "The French Syndrome".
And in English class, I spent the entire lesson playing Swedish word games online. The others were doing a test I did last term and I haven't been given any extra assignments. It felt like a glorious waste of time. But I still love English class for some reason, even if I haven't done anything for... x number of lessons.
My day's been good otherwise, it was just completely bummed by seeing French. Seriously, when my mom walked in here two minutes ago, she looked at me and she was all: "What is it?" Yes, The French Syndrome has me under its thrall.
Edit: Also, I really want to watch Battlestar Galactica again. But the problem is that the only thing I care about is Gaius and Six, so... Anyone know where I can find all Gaius and Six scenes? 'Cause the other bits don't really make me invested. I've seen season one and two.
Also, Pimping my Christmas wishlist again if anyone is interested, now also updated with another wish.

Freezer Frenzy and movies to watch
Nov. 18th, 2007 04:03 pmSocial event for the week? Check. Notes prepared for presentation tomorrow on slavery? Check. Preparation for Spanish presentation? Not so much check. But it's going to work out anyway, I know it. Call it inspiration. Anyway, school is pretty much keeping me occupied and later on I'll watch a movie with Leonardo DiCaprio and Amber Benson (I know, they've been in the same movie! OMG!) which I really look forward to.
There was this crisis with the freezer today that was kind of interesting, but really really annoying. Now we have to defrost the entire freezer and all of our food is outside, since it's the only place where it's cool enough. Even if it's just barely. Thankfully it's becoming night and hopefully colder.

Serial killer conventions and episodes

A few days ago I had an idea for a Dexter/Sylar/Jekyll crossover. I mean, serial killer convention? How can you NOT write that?Although it's not a convention in the normal sense of the word since I have a few ideas. But still, when does Dexter start again? Even though I've seen the first two episodes, I need my Dexter love.
There are like no episodes of Goong uploaded anywhere. Not on YouTube anyway. And my internet is pathetically slow. Like... snale speed.
The new promo of Supernatural is making me excited. Although I'm still not feeling the love for that blonde chick. But I will remain optimistic. I have a feeling that season three is going to kiss ass. Because I love post-apocalyptic storylines. Still haven't decided whether I should buy season two or not.

It feels so weird not having Semagic to assist you right now as I'm typing this entry in OpenOffice Writer. *headdesk* It's so weird and I can't understand where my dad's 'Notes' have disappeared. I realized that I don't do much in front of a computer any more. I hardly write anything these days (still waiting for my beta to return the epic long Sirius/Remus fic I did ages ago) and the only thing I really do is to watch shows (read: Asian shows since all the American and British ones are on hiatus), play Sims and well... I can't do anything of that on my computer time (30 min/day which is really nothing at all) so I check out OhNoTheyDidn't instead. That's how low I sink when I'm bored.
And to display what I'll be watching, here's a list (I can still add something if you convince me :P I just don't know what I'm in the mood for):
Supernatural
Ugly Betty (? Not sure)
Heroes (a given)
Dexter
Doctor Who
Torchwood
Skins (second season starts soon, right?)
Smallville (a REALLY big question mark there, I suppose I'll wait and see)

Not soo many shows come to think about it. I mean, Supernatural, I love that show, but if I'm forced to watch it on YouTube again... I'm not sure my love can survive such abuse. Ugly Betty is funny but... meh. I'm in a general anti-American tv show mood because well.. Dexter can be as American as it wish because I'd still watch it because it's so gloriously fucked up. Doctor Who won't start for ages and the same goes for Torchwood. Skins I really have no idea.
Smallville is... well, Smallville. It can be so incredibly bad. But I can't live without it. TV without Smallville is weird. I've grown accustomed to it. And well, Smallville has Lois. Which is good. And Clark. But they have Lana *groan* and if they make Chloe a romantic interest again... No. But Lois. But they also have whipped!Lex, which is bad. Really bad. We'll see.
The Office is a show which is always nice to watch but I find it difficult to be superinvolved with it. I guess I'll watch it mostly for entertainment ;)
So now to le grand question: What are YOU watching this upcoming TV season?

My brain is dead, I bought a new magazine, some new clothes, got a little less than half Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows left (not sure if I like it yet, WHERE ARE MY BABIES?!) and I just feel generally uninspired. However, I do still love my John Simm &hearts , Dexter, Doctor Who, Heroes (I'm not in the mood of watching returns of it, so therefore there's little squeeage at the moment, but it will come really soon. Heroes friends, hang in there ;)) and all those other shows I'm seriously neglecting. I haven't been able to see an episode of Supernatural since Bloody Mary a few days ago but I'll see what I can do about it.
I'm thinking about ordering make-up from EverydayMinerals.com, has anyone else bought make-up there? Is it good?
*sigh* Gonna watch some old!Doctor Who (it's good but they talk too bloody much at times and it makes my head even deader. They need to show things more rather than just explain it) and then there's Midsomer Murders ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ (you can't have summer without Midsomer Murders!). Then I'm off to bed and tomorrow I will paint a house at work and hopefully finish Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Would anyone be interested in a reaction post for me or has everyone done it too many times already?

Okay, I just saw the first two episodes of season two of Dexter. I love that show so extremely much (there's something that connects Dexter's misfit and my own... no, I'm not a serial killer). It's just so... mind-fuckable and incredible. But my question is this: how the... erhm, I've been listening to Deb too much. Anyway, how could I have seen those episodes if the show doesn't start airing the second season until September? I'm not only confused, but really addicted to this incredible show again. Rudy/Dexter FTW!!!!! :D

Dexter, computer time and money
Feb. 12th, 2007 09:56 pmI love Dexter. So much. It's really an addictive show even though I'm "only" on the fifth episode. I just love Dexter and his girlfriend's relationship. I really do. <3 The show is still airing new episodes, right?
*le sigh* I had plans to watch the remaining four episodes tomorrow but now my dad wants me to cut down my internet time with two thirds. Oh joy. I mean, then I can't watch anything, I can't write anything longer than two pages (sometimes it feels like my hand is cramping and I have a difficulty making proper sentences oh well, good sentences I suppose). And reading makes me sleepy.
I bought a notebook and a piece of chocolate. First thing I've bought in almost two months except two chocolate bars and two lollipops. Feels like some sort of luxury. But I think I'll have to pay for at least 50% of my glasses. At least my mother's part. That'd be... 2,200 SEK. No idea what that is in dollars or any other currency.
