Hi everyone.
This is really weird... My computer acts as though it's playing music (sometimes, but when I play stuff on iTunes, the song won't even start but in Media Player it acts like everything's fine) but I can't hear any sound. It was fine yesterday and as far as I can remember I've done nothing to the sound since then. Any suggestions as to what I might do to get the sound back on?

And LastFM keeps crashing on me. Or at least that's what it says it's doing when I try to shut it down. Then it's going to send this "crash information" but it always ends up saying that it can't for some reason.

Anyone know what the issue is?

(eta: also, I can't listen to sound on YouTube or anything)

*headdesk*

I hate computers.

or well, I hate the curse that seems to rest over my house that enables all electronic devices to give me hell.

Apparently getting Internet to Suse is a little bit more complicated in my case than with your average moron. *headdesk*

I've been sitting here for at least almost 5 HOURS now!!! I want to sleep soon (or get Internet to work)!

It's kind of ridiculous how excited I am to see the Twilight movie. And I hated the books. Clearly something is wrong. What kind of mind power do they have on me?

Supernatural tomorrow (or today? I dunno, I'm just checking my flist and people were mentioning it and I just had to say that I'm really excited as well - I've missed the Winchester boys).

I'm still struggling with trying to connect to Internet on my SuSe computer and I have no idea how. Seriously. It's a mystery to me. I have a rough idea, but nothing substantial or anything like that. I'm gonna try some more but I really need some help, although sadly, [livejournal.com profile] computer_help and [livejournal.com profile] computerhelp remain sadly silent. We'll see.

Also, did I mention I sort of love those communities? After having repetitve problems with my computer I say that there should be a general computer help support that you could call if you have troubles with your computer. Don't you agree?

Internet seems to FINALLY BE WORKING NOW!!!! :D - on my laptop, but still, that's better than no Internet at all. Oh online world, how I've missed thee.

Oh, SCC being renewed for a new season? Best news today, even though it's expected, I'm very happy.

Does anyone feel like making a header for me? Pretty please? My paid account is expiring soon. Which is really sad because that means that I'll get back to those hideous ads that I've come to loathe with a passion and now there's no escaping them *cries* And if I'm going to be subjected to them, at least I can have a pretty layout for the one I have at the moment is... well, not to my liking. Anyone feel like they want to make one? Comment and I shall supply you with pictures and stuff, if you'd like.

Right now my life is going pretty smoothly. Sure, I'm under a lot of pressure but it's okay. I spend most of my time in school, and talk to friends and then I basically come home for dinner, watch an episode of Pride and Prejudice ('95 version for the win :D) and then check my email on Hany's computer (Internet only works on one computer and since he - he's my mother's husband - is obsessed with Fifa 2007, we can't check our email most of the time) and then go to bed. It's become sort of a routine.

Still haven't had the chance to watch any more Greek because of well... no Internet, but I did catch a few minutes of Life on Mars on television the other day (it went on BBC Prime) so I took a few pictures, screening the TV, so I have a few John Simm pics and one Guv and one Sam/Annie. Oh show, how I've missed thee.

I hope that Internet starts working on my Suse soon because I'm dying. The network card isn't working, or it doesn't connect with the Internet and the second harddrive I have installed on my computer, containing stuff like music, I'm not allowed to delete anything there and apparently my computer recognizes it as being part of Windows, which is weird. *headdesk* How do I get Internet working on my Suse?

My Internet is currently working on my laptop. It's really really weird.

Speaking of something, I now have OpenSuse on my other computer :D Although, I need to find a Divx codec and an mp3 codec and VLC player or GOM Player for Suse. And I need to get how you run files as root in order to install them in KDE. Anyone happen to know? Suse is kicking my butt.

I'm listening to Gabriellas song by Helen Sjöholm *squee* This song is so beautiful. I can listen to this song forever. The lyrics are so amazing.

The latest episode of Doctor Who (4x02) has to be one of my favourite episodes EVER. I dunno... just the story, acting and stuff like that. Although the plot reminded me slightly of the audiobook The Stone Rose (omg, I must find it again, I think I've lost it *cries*)

I'm really interested in installing Linux/SuSE on my computer I have at home. The last time I installed or reinstalled or whatever the computer was back in 2002, which is a really long time ago and well... Linux is a very shiny program which I like. The only problem is that the version my dad uses is a little bit weird because it doesn't allow us to install any programs or play media files. Which is sort of what is necessary for me in order to function in Internet world. But Linux is so shiny and a lot more safe than Windows. And if I install Linux, I won't be able to go back to Windows.

What am I going to do? I really want to have Linux, but if I can't play media files or install anything, I might just die. Basics such as Firefox or Opera or anything like that would be gone.

What do you think? Any ideas of what might cause this inability to install programs or play media files? As far as I know, we've tried everything.

Oh, I forgot to tell you all, the last couple of days I've spent either watching Criminal Minds (I bought season one :D) or having my nose pressed against a psychology book reading about Freud and all these interesting things. I don't even have psychology until next semester, but I love the idea of understanding people.

Do you have any good suggestions as to what kind of books that are a good read if you're interested in Psychology? Like... text books and stuff.

"Var det inte han som var sinnessjuk?"
"Jo, emellanåt."

(Trans: "Wasn't it him that was insane?" / "Yes, on occasion.")

Sometimes the best quotes occur during class. Don't know why but it's the truth.

I'm sitting by my ancient Windows computer (well... non-laptop) by choice and I've spent the last two and a half hours deleting things and trying to figure out how to stop giving "explorer.exe" to reboot. It drives me up the wall and hopefully it will stop. Does anyone know what the problem is? It's driving me up the wall.

Anyway, I'm off to try to save my computer some more! Please help if you have any ideas. I'm desperate.

Huge edit: *looks around* *does not dare to hope* *then jumps up in happiness*

I THINK I ACTUALLY FIXED IT ON MY OWN!!!!!!

Let's keep our fingers crossed that it'll last.

I'm beginning to see a trend in the Veronica Mars fandom that scares me to death, similar to an existing one in the Harry Potter fandom. This trend is Mac/Dick. It just annoys me to see how people are into this pairing so bad and so it would create some sort of 'one big happy family' scenario and it just sickens me. The worst thing about it is that before the idea was just annoying - now suddenly - people have acutally something to base it on *headdesk* (talking about that minor actually pretty insignificant scene between them in 3x01). Reminds me so much of the Ron/Hermione/Ginny/Harry situation in HP. Someone please pull me away from this fandom? Seriously. I should probably defriend all Veronica Mars related communities (besides [livejournal.com profile] rack_of_lamb because that's probably one of the best communities ever), so I can still watch the show without being horrified.

And speaking of all things random:

Shonda Rhimes -
Please give Addison a happy ending. Preferably with Mark. She deserves it. Or with Finn. But she shouldn't have to take from 'The Meredith Trash Can', so preferably with Mark.
With much love,
A fan.
PS: If Mark/Meredith happens, I'll hunt you.

Seriously, Grey's Anatomy is turning into One Tree Hill... with scaples. And GA is actually good. Everyone is basically sleeping with everyone. So much drama. Good drama. But that kind of drama makes me nervous, makes me wanna go and puke and fast-forward the entire show till the end so I know how it'll end.

Back at mom's now. I'm thinking about ditching Microsoft XP completely and go SuSe on everyone. What do you think of that? My dad has the latest - 10.0 (or at least it was the latest) - but there's only a major problem: IT CAN'T SEEM TO BE ABLE TO PLAY VIDEO FILES. LIKE... NONE. WHICH MEANS NO EPISODE VIEWING ON MY COMPUTER. OR MUSIC VIDEOS. I'D DIE.

Sorry for the caps lock. But this is important - if anyone knows a solution - please - I'd give birth to your children just if you let me know what the solution could be.

Also, I'd be saying goodbye to Photoshop but my sis promised I could use hers.

Also, I figured out a completely new hair style. I own. :D
