starsthatshine: (doctor who - butterflies)
I'd really need to start writing more of my original stuff. I wrote this one story about werewolves ages ago but I never finished it, which is a shame but maybe... work a bit around the plot I suppose wouldn't be so bad. Would anyone be interested in reading it?

I hope you all are ok :)

I'm thinking about having a movie marathon after I've cleaned my room. On the list is:

- A very long engagement
- Narnia
- Serenity
- X-Men 2
- Pride and Prejudice

Any more suggestions as to what I might see?

Edit: What is the deal with CDON.com selling Doctor Who season one with Finnish covers?
starsthatshine: (supernatural - fangirls coming)
I just got the craziest idea ever. Combining two of my favourite fandoms - Doctor Who and Supernatural. Yes, a crossover. Which you don't really hear from me. [livejournal.com profile] deep_salt_water is writing an X-Men/Supernatural one (which everyone should check out) but I'm not aware that there's been a Doctor Who/Supernatural crossover. Just imagine it... Here's a line that appears in my head:
"Aliens?" Dean snorted, "There's no such thing as aliens."

Also, I'm working my way back into being actively aware of the Supernatural fandom again. Therefore I'm skipping Roadkill (sorry Tricia) and moving directly into Heart. Is there anything I should know that happened in Roadkill?

I'm quite surprised at myself, how easily it was to get back into my Supernatural mood (still DW obsessed though, mind you). I just saved some icons and them "BAM!". I like it when inspiration strikes.

Okay, I confess that I haven't exactly been an avid commenter or anything like that lately (I've seen comments on my own journal but have yet to reply to them and yes - it's that bad :P). But I blame my recent inspiration kick, I won't say too much about it because I don't want to pimp my fic before I've even started it. Well, I've started but have yet to go very far with it.

What I'll let you know right now is that it's X-Men (bien sur!) and that it invovles Pyro and another femme whose identity I won't reveal. It is so far a gen story put after the disaster known as X3 but I think I'll really be able to do something well with it. We'll see how it turns out.

I saw Blood Diamond yesterday (with Leonardo DiCaprio who I now fangirl a bit ehm, a lot) and it's absolutely great. 4.5/5. Watch it if you get a chance :) Leo really plays his character well.
starsthatshine: (¤ movies ¤ // {pp} much more interesting)
I saw Friends not too long - a few minutes ago, or more like an half hour - ago (the episode was 'The One with The Red Sweater' if anyone is interested) and it was actually good! :O Or well, as good as it can be. I really liked the episode anyway. Kind of funny. Although, tell no one I said that ;)

Also, someone please explain to me why Heroes is so good? 'Cause I don't see it. At all. Well, maybe a bit. Milo is good. But other than that - woot?

Also, Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio on the same picture? Totally pwns me.

Reminds me, I'm gonna see 'The Departed' tomorrow with a bunch of friends. Gonna be fun. The original plan (you can sense that this was a plan of mine, right?) was 'The Prestige' but it ended up being 'The Departed' Oh well, it's not what you see what matters (oh well, sometimes), but WHO you see it with (some of you that were just browsing through thought I was talking about Doctor Who again, right?)

Also, I hate Cameron Diaz? Have I mentioned that lately, because if I haven't, I need to do it again. Soon. Also, she looks extremely unhealthy.

As you notice, I'm trying really hard to sound I don't know... hyper. Although everything I say is stuff I actually mean, I sort of speeded it up so that it would be more interesting for you guys to read. I think it's funny at times and sometimes I'm in this mood while other times.... I'm not.

Now, the fun fandom stuff has pretty much ended so now here's some RL thoughts. I've realized that school can be fun but it doesn't really make me happy. I like seeing people and I get all... hyper every time I'm around those people but the moment I get home or have some time to think about things - everything suddenly becomes much less... happy. I've always been a person that thinks too much of things that I probably shouldn't think about, but that's just me.

Speaking of thinking, this day when I was walking from the bus stop, I realized that I was a tiny person on a big planet that floated, without any strings, in space and that the universe was a large, large place and that I was just a tiny little person in the middle of it all. I get to live on this planet. I mean, how strange is that?

How do people write Supernatural fics? I'm serious, how do you guys do it? How do you find the inspiration? Supernatural is one of those shows that I really can't write anything about. It's so strange. I guess I just don't want to mess anything up but... seriously. You guys impress me so much, even if you are just planning a fic but haven't started writing yet! It's very admirable, at least I think so. Good job :)

Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] ieleni sweetie, I hope you'll have a wonderful birthday. It was ages since I heard from you - it would be nice to chat with you sometime :) Also welcome [livejournal.com profile] taskiira to my flist and [livejournal.com profile] hd_obsession as well. :) I hope you'll have a fantastic time. Also added [livejournal.com profile] blessed_beast and I hope I will be added back :)

I also came second place on [livejournal.com profile] oth_ichallenge with an icon of mine *yay for that*

Hey people, this is an early birdie for me. I'm sitting here waiting for the clock to turn to 12 so I can call Frida without guilt. If she sleeps at 12 [which I do] it's time to wake up. I hope I can be with her though.

The wait for that I've written my first Lord of the Rings fan fiction. It's gonna be a a long one so I'm posting in chapters. It's an Éowyn/Faramir fan fiction, completely AU and I had the idea from my brain that Eowyn was the Queen of Gondor and she starts having an affair with a common stable-boy [Faramir]. Not the most original plot but I enjoy writing it. So far it's only the first chapter that is up and it would make me thrilled if you guys read it.

Name: A Warmer Kind of Cold -- Which Shade of Brown? (1/??)
Rating: PG
Fandom/Pairing: LotR - Eowyn/Faramir
Summary: AU. Eowyn, Queen of Gondor, starts having an affair.
Note: I'm against cheating but I found this plot to be sort of romantic :P
To the first chapter!

Teaser: “I don’t know you,” Éowyn spoke after a while, resting her head against Findecáno’s soft mane. “I don’t recall seeing you before.”

“Tarì hired me a few months after your illness. I believe the purpose was to look out for this beauty.” he told her with a voice filled with adoration for her horse and she didn’t notice that his eyes lingered on her for a brief second.

Now I will go over the people interested to be my Harry/Draco love buddy beta. *goes to email*
