I'm in the mood

I seemed to have missed quite a lot during my... few hours of absense. Firstly, has Gossip Girl aired? Wow, how did I miss this? Also, Supernatural airs soon does it not?

Also, speaking of Supernatural, I've started writing a fic now. It's gen, mostly but with certain Sam/Ruby undertones because otherwise I wouldn't be able to do the storyline I wanted. I've never written Ruby before but it's actually really fun. Also, once you get past the whole 'it's so intimidating' phase of writing Supernatural fiction, it's actually really fun. Not that I'm any good. I think the story is sort of growing into its own although the beginning is quite crap.

I also watched Scarecrow the other day (still on Supernatural mode here ^^) and I love this show so badly. Especially Dean, also I'm quite surprised at myself for not disliking Sam as I usually do. I remember season one I had some very decisive opinions about the younger Winchester but right now I seem to have... lost 'em.

So how are you? I'm about to have French and I'm sensing that it's going to be... Interesting. Also, the date for going to France has been set. 14th of May till the 21st of May I'll be in Brest, surrounded by French. *is scared* I'm excited but dangerously scared of the flying bit.

SPN airs this Thursday, which I'm SO PSYCHED ABOUT YAY.

I've actually written several ficlets for some of my fandoms, though I don't really have the courage to post them from what you just said about the intimidation. I don't know, fanmixes seem to be my realm of fandom contributation at the moment (I'm kind of working on TSCC fanmix though it's really kicking my ass right now).

I actually had no real opinion on Sam because I came in knowing Jensen Ackles so I loved him from the start, and with Sam the love gradually came to be. I think it started in S2, and now both the boys are love. :)

I think you should ignore the imitation and if you want, just post it to a selected audience and they can give you feedback. That way you grow as a writer. Fanmixes are awesome.

You didn't watch Gilmore Girls before? One thing I remember as being really difficult was that Jensen's character was named Dean whereas that was Jared's old character's name in GG. It was really confusing. I started to like Sam in S2 as well :D

I did watch Gilmore Girls and did like Dean Forrester, though I didn't really pay much attention to Jared as I did Jensen. I'm not sure how that happened, because looking back I shouldn't at least put two and two together. My sister and I have this ongoing joke that they are the Brothers Dean, since Jared played Dean in GG while Jensen plays Dean on SPN. It's funny that way. XD

SPN returns this Thursday. Which upsets me since I am not going to be able to watch it for like two weeks but I really really really want to. It will be so hard to not give in. I love SPN far too much.

I am a huge Sam fan. Unlike what is apparently the majority of the fandom, I fell in love with Sam first. I pretty much love the brothers equally, but have always been pretty devoted to Sam. That said, I hate him in Scarecrow. I think he loses all ground in the fight with Dean in the car when he says that pain from losing Jess trumps Dean's pain from losing his mom. It pretty much makes me ache for Dean because Sam comes off as this whining brat who can't see that Dean is still effected by his mom's death.

I love SPN as well, but sadly I haven't really... started to hype yet. I hope the hype will come, eventually.

I think I will, once the story starts and I'll probably try to write most of it so I just have to finish it once I start. I love writing long, arc driven stories (I did it with X-Men too :D)

I think I would've liked Sam to start with if it wasn't so that he was so incredibly... "nothing is worse than my experiences"-ish and his inability to see things from another perspective. He just opposed the whole way of living that Dean and John had without a clear reason and his arguments fell a little flat against Dean's more emotionally charged ones. Dean had a reason to feel the way he did whereas with Sam it felt more like some sort of delayed teenage rebellion. Like Scarecrow.

Oooh, exciting! Brest is in the north, right? Aww, don't worry about flying, it'll be a piece of cake...plus, your flight wouldn't be too long so before you know it, you'll be on the ground again...surrounded by the French :)
