Seriously, if you haven't watched this show yet you need to start because OMG IT'S SO DRAMA AND AWESOME.

In new normal Gossip Girl fashion, it's once again proven that Serena is just the pretend main character because everything is really about Blair. I mean, come on. Leighton is such a great actress (although I don't really have a comment on the whole 'Leighton smoking pot' gossip because I quite frankly don't think it's true since it's only located on one site) and Blair... according to [livejournal.com profile] gossipgirltv's poll, she's the favourite character. Which makes me a very happy camper indeed.

Let's start at the beginning. I love how Serena and Blair are total BFF's. They can survive anything. And they have. I loved how Serena was trying to be all subtle and say "You're in a good mood which usually means things are going well with a guy." and you could totally see Blair thinking: "OMG, there's is so definitely NOTHING going on or going remotely anywhere with Chuck. I wasn't thinking." (But sometimes Blair, good things happen out of pure impulse). Blair/Chuck is so the OTP of the season. After all, his name is the new trend (never before have prime time telly seen so many Chucks). I also loved how they got into an argument but there was no heistation when Blair called.

The Van Deer Woodsen/Humphrey thing need to die. Now. Like, immediate termination. That dinner party was the most awkward thing I've seen in all my life. I like the mom and I'm not really understanding Lily/Rufus at all so I'm glad that he told her off but since this is a drama and it's in certain aspects predictable, we know that he isn't going to let the sleeping dog lie. Which is think is awfully boring and unoriginal. *sigh* Why?

And to some more surprising news, in a short version:

  • I might forgive Nate for being such a tool. Today he was adorable how he was thinking about calling Blair but then of course he had to look at Serena's number and make me hate him all over again. Idiot. And the Nate/Serena fans can have a valid point when saying that it was only because her name was on the top of his contact list.

  • I liked Blair's mom. She's a total ice queen but she's not all bad. The Waldrof family is definitely my favourite. I seem to adore anything that seems to go attached to the name Waldrof. And I adore the maids and I was so glad of that shot where they shot one of the maids glaring at Eleanor because it bothered me that no one in that household seem to object towards Blair's treatment and the shameless pimping done by her mother. That was the same maid with whom Blair had a conversation about the bulldog, yes?

  • That "good night sweetheart" line made me squee into little bits and pieces. NATE LOVES BLAIR EVEN IF HE'S A TOTAL IDIOT SOMETIMES! It's kind of interesting how they seemed to be that relationship that everyone wants but that went berserk because of the pressure that their parents put them through (I believe that if they just had been left alone, they would've worked out any obstacle and now be happier than ever). Nate felt trapped, saw Serena as the icon of liberty and fell in love with her the idea of liberty and not letting his parents control his life.

  • Also, Dan walking Blair to the cab? THEY ARE SO ADORABLE THAT I WISH THEY COULD GET TOGETHER AS WELL!!! He totally loves her just don't wanna admit it. ;)

  • Also, I totally love Blair in the first flashback when Dan tries to help Serena and she's all "WTF, weirdo" and all bitchface and totally protective over Serena in her vulnerable condition.

Damn show for making me multiship. But I love it.

Man, can I ever write like... a short episode reaction to this show? Haha. Apparently not ^^

Yeah, that's true. In a way, I want Blair to get everything she wants, you know? Because she's my favourite. I'm Team Blair all the way. Also, I'm glad that NS wasn't over the top. It wasn't like you could see that "he's just with Blair cuz he's got to", but you could understand that he was attracted to Serena, without being a total ass about it like he is now IMO, and that he still loved Blair. Also, I can so totally see him being all scared, angry etc. the first time Blair was diagnosed with bulimia cuz he really really cares about her

If she's been seeing doctors and such like the episode suggested, I find it very unlikely that he wouldn't know about her condition. Btw, made a new vid :D

Totally. Blair is the queen of Gossip Girl. Serena is just her stand-in in case she can't be in every scene :P

I think the Rufus/Lily comes from the fact that Allison (I believe that's her name) you know...abandoned her family, which puts anyone including Satan himself above her in the "To Ship With Rufus" category.

Just my humble opinion, mind, but seriously, I want to stab Allison with a fork. There are some things you don't forgive, and abandoning your children is one of them.

I don't know. I guess I didn't see it as abandonment or at least... I don't think it made her a bad person. People have crises and to say that they are bad people because of that just seems to be a little harsh to me.

She left her children to go "do art." That's just...pathetic, to be perfectly honest. I mean, if you look up "bad mother" in the dictionary, there's a picture of that woman. All the other mothers on the show look like saints compared to her.

Now, I'm not necessarily arguing for Rufus/Lily, because like I said, I don't think the pro-R/L position comes as much from liking the couple as it does from hating what appears to be the only other alternative.

The adults on the show don't interest me all that much to be honest, so I don't really have set opinions on them, but Mrs. Humphrey is one I do, and seriously, Rufus would be better off tangoing in hell with Satan himself than he would getting back together with her.

NATE LOVES BLAIR EVEN IF HE'S A TOTAL IDIOT SOMETIMES!

you just described what i feel about BN! they FINALLY got a way to show people exacly the same feeling they have in the books. the cares a LOT about her, and as i was reading you comments, about the bulimia things.. theres an episode in the book (i dunno if you read them) where blair goes to the bathroom to throw up and nate goes there to 'save' her. its the cutest thing. blair/chuck is a nice couple, but i really hope that they show that what nate feels for serena is attraction and for blair is love <3
