WTF?

Two things about the Doctor Who finale that I have to get off my chest:

1) What was up with Ten's Jesus-like line: 'I forgive you'? I mean, seriously, it might look good on paper, but at least for me, it didn't click much on screen. David is one awesome actor so he did a good delivery of the line, but it's the line itself that I have a problem with. It seems to be one of those lines one inserts into fan fics so that there can be some ship squee.

2) If the Doctor permenantly fused the coordinates (or whatever he said he did); how was he able to go somewhere else? I mean, he did it permenantly, so that means it's something that will be there forever. Always. You know the deal. And even if the Doctor somehow magically restored his TARDIS, why wasn't the Master able to? I'm sure he's more than capable.

Gotta run to work now. Had planned to make a longer entry.

Don't use logic on RTD's episodes. It doesn't work. :D

So you mean I should just accept these illogical loops? I can feel my braincells dying already ;) I just can't sit back and "accept" things because I hate being passive when I watch TV. *glares at RTD* Rusty needs to work on his logic.

Nah, didn't mean that, more in a joking kind of way, but yeah, me and my friend kept trying to point out the obvious plot holes, but then we just reminded ourselves to not use common sense and logic when it comes to his episodes because it isn't there XD Especially not in that one!

I know you didn't mean that, at least not 100% seriously ;) I don't think I've noticed the stuff that doesn't make sense this clearly before. But maybe that was because I was rooting for the Master ;) Master > Doctor.

Alrighto ;P But yeah, The Master was pretty nice, but I think he kept dropping in coolness ever since Utopia. Or well, like this, he seemed so intimidating in the series three trailers, I had way more hope for him to be more sinister and cruel. Now he was sort of... camp. Not that it wasn't fun in a way, but... meh, in the end, I just want RTD fired. *shakes fist at him*

About 1)
I have this problem that I can't take it serious when he says something like "You are forgiven". It just doesn't seem real.

Yeah. I mean, I can understand why the Doctor would say it but The Master's absolute refusal to hear the words makes the scene seem corny and short of cheap. The script to TLOTTL was on crack.

Hmm, I think that the coordinates thing could only be undone by his screwdriver. A bit like that only the Master can use the Masters screwdriver.
In other fandoms that deal with magic, it's also often the case for magic spells, some spells can only be undone by the one who cast them.

Well that's how I try to justify it anyway! lol

But yeah a lot of things did not make sense in that episode. I was very disappointed. Although the thing that really kills me is the floating and glowing Doctor, that was just BAD.

Hadn't the Master done something special with his screwdriver that only made it possible for him to use it? I mean, we've seen companions in the past (Rose, par example) use the Doctor's screwdriver. So it doesn't make sense why the Master's screwdriver should be prohibited to use somehow.

Whatever makes sense in your own mind, that's what I say ;)

The floating and glowing Doctor was extremely bad. It wasn't even done gracefully like with Rose and the Time Vortex in season one. It just was... ewwww.
