Ms or Miss?
It doesn't matter if I titled myself as 'Ms' or 'Miss' on my SAAS application, right? I mean, they can't like... reject my application because of it, right? *is and has been silly*
I think this extended period of time with my essay has turned my brain into an illogical entity which makes me unable to completely save myself from embarrassing mistakes that are actually really minor...
I need an answer on this in order to have something of a peaceful state of mind.

A question of interest
I'm working on my killer essay right now and let me tell you, it's killer. I'm trying to shorten it down a little bit but it feels like I'm not accurately portraying the complexity of the political event which I'm writing about (the Cuban revolution). I've just recently stopped writing about the time leading up to the revolution (16th century and forward) till the end of the revolution (2nd of January 1959) and I've done a brief description of the political climate of that time. Right now I'm writing about Ernesto Guevara and later I shall determine the importance of his presence during the revolution (which ultimately, wasn't great even if he was already then somewhat of an admired and mysterious character).
What have I written so far? Well, 4,467 words should give you a rough estimate just how much overboard this essay have gone. I love the madness, but I know deep down - that I can't overdo it.
Other than that, fandom life has as you can tell, sort of stopped in midstream. I'm putting everything on pause because I have this assignment to turn in on Wednesday and it's absolutely ESSENTIAL that I get it in by then because otherwise, I will DIE.
I applied for the SAAS tutition-paying thing today! Yay! I called SAAS just to make sure that my application was correct and then I sent it in. Thanks a million for all the help I got! I know I didn't say it in the comments or before, but just so you know that I APPRECIATED IT GREATLY.
Now a question for you, flist, since I'm greatly curious: Do you have something, aside from TV shows and the like, which you are really passionate about/interested in? My own interest lies in philosophical debates and history and politics, although I'm more or less a novice on all of these areas. I just love anything that will prove to be an interlectual challenge.

I need your help!!!
You all know I'm rubbish when it comes to understanding really important information when it comes to uni. So I need your help and I'd appreciate it like... well, there's not a word for it but extremely is sort of close to it.
THIS IS THE INFORMATION WHICH I DON'T UNDERSTAND
The questions I need answered are:
1. Do I have to have an unconditional offer from the uni I want to go to before applying? Which means - do i need to have sent my grades to the school before I apply for tuition fee help?
2. Do I need to pay the tuition fee thing back? I don't think so but I need to be really sure...
... I think those are the only things I don't understand.

Music Album Recommendation: Natalie Merchant - The House Carpenter's Daughter
Do you know what the perfect music is to listen to while cleaning? Well, for me it's my Natalie Merchant CD - The House Carpenter's Daughter which is basically a collection of old folk music interpretated by Miss Merchant. I have it as an actual CD (I know - how old school of me!) and I put it in the stereo as I spent most of the day cleaning.
My favourite song has to be this one: Which Side Are You On? written by a woman named Florence Reese who was a labour union organiser for the National Miner's Union somewhere in the States. The song was written in '32 after her husband had been arrested by the police (since there was a big struggle between the workers and the mine owners) and I don't know... I guess it's one of those songs that grows on you, but I really love it. It's sort of powerful.
(this was the only decent copy of the song that I could find on YouTube, so feel free to ignore the pictures to it, if you want)
There are a lot of other really good songs as well on that album - for example Soldier, Soldier but I couldn't find that on YouTube. It's really good soothing music on that CD if you want a recommendation.
And my room is absolutely spotless now! I feel incredibly proud :D

Applied for accommodation and Harry Potter nostalgic!
I'm being horribly absent again and I'm sorry but I lose interesting things to blog about. To summarize:
- I've watched most of The Big Bang Theory - AND I LOOOOVE IT!!!! I rarely openly laugh at TV comedies but TBBT has me laughing every episode. ♥ Sheldon is wonderful.
- The new Harry Potter trailer and all the icons that are resurfacing makes me want to read Harry Potter again. And revive the fandom and write fics... Is that sad? If anyone feels like handing me Harry/Draco fics or Harry/Luna or... I don't know, anything generally good :D :D Except Harry/Ginny or really any pairing involving that particular redhead.
- I've applied for accommodation at the University of Glasgow! Woohoo! One step closer to September and I think on Tuesday I'll start figuring out the tuition paying thing. I'm horribly excited but slightly scared - where will me and my sister end up after flying over there? Where shall we stay?Should we bring pepper spray? Important tiny currently-irrelevant things like that...
Tomorrow I aim at cleaning my room. The probability of that happening is still uncertain.

Which would you save?
[Poll #1381760]
As much as I adore Dollhouse, after seeing the SCC finale, I might just vote the latter. I love Joss Whedon and I want BOTH shows to get a new season, but... I don't know. I really really really really really really need a new season of The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

My reaction to the Sarah Connor Chronicles (no spoilers)
WTF
If Sarah Connor Chronicles doesn't return next season I WILL THROW A MAJOR FIT BECAUSE THIS SHOW IS TOO FRICKIN' AWESOME TO DIE. IT CANNOT. IT MUST LIVE ON. IT MUST. EVERYONE MUST MAKE SURE THAT IT DOESN'T HAPPEN.
DEAL?
I will write an episode reaction when I've seen the episode again and my brain has started to function and when my heart's stopped racing (which means like 560506565 years from now because THIS SHOW IS SO EPIC AND THIS FINALE TOO. IT MUST LIVE ON).
Where are the petitions? What can be done in order to save SCC? Join the struggle, even if you don't watch the show (why aren't you?!)

Death is your art
As I'm rewatching season five of Buffy (I'm sort of cruising through episodes at the moment, picking those who are interesting) I sort of remember how good it was. And how each of the relationships on the show are unique and they all interact with each other, which is pretty tough when you have a big cast. These days, you can have a cast of six-eight people but there are a certain few individuals that never interact with each other on screen even if they are both cast members. Buffy was never like that and I think that's why there are so many fics out there with so many different pairings. If you didn't like what canon was cooking you, you could always make your own meal (so to speak).
And I don't know... It's just excellent writing. For example, this quote is all kinds of beauty:
Spike: And the thing about the dance is, you never get to stop. Every day you wake up, it's the same bloody question that haunts you: is today the day I die? Death is on your heels, baby, and sooner or later it's gonna catch you. And part of you wants it... not only to stop the fear and uncertainty, but because you're just a little bit in love with it. Death is your art. You make it with your hands, day after day. That final gasp. That look of peace. Part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. Every Slayer... has a death wish. Even you. The only reason you've lasted as long as you have is you've got ties to the world... your mum, your brat kid sister, the Scoobies. They all tie you here but you're just putting off the inevitable. Sooner or later, you're gonna want it. And the second- the second- that happens... You know I'll be there. I'll slip in... have myself a real good day.
Before, when I watched the show, I sort of really disliked Spike/Buffy but these days... I don't know. I kind of get it. There were a certain number of "mistakes" though, if you ask me, that made me not like it as much as I could've, but in a way, I sort of get it. I like it the way it is early season five. All that sexual frustration and anger and whatnot... that kind of makes sense. I haven't seen season six in a while so I can't be the judge of that (it's the only season I don't have on DVD) but season seven wasn't really a favourite in the Spike/Buffy department, for me anyway.
And who here had forgotten that Amy Adams had made a guest appearance on the show? I know I have! But when I saw it, it all came flooding back to me. Gosh, her guest appearance on the Office seems like such a long day away.
Eugh, work tomorrow.

The replacement
I'm enjoying my precious moments of freedom and I'm sitting here at dad's, in silence and I'm having trouble about what I should do. I should probably study. But the most important file I have at my computer at mom's so... I guess that has to wait till Monday. Does anyone else have pre-working angst? I'm going to work tomorrow for a few hours and I'm literary going 'wtf where you thinking when you took this job?'. But once I start working, it feels fine.
I saw a Buffy episode today!!! Seriously, I miss this show like a long-lost sibling. I saw The Replacement and I think that's sort of lovely on so many levels. How Xander's feeling of being misplaced in his own life is paralleled with Riley and Buffy's relationship where Riley definitely knows that they are not in the same place. *sniff* I almost want to have a marathon, but the thing is that you then run into an episode that you think is sort of semi-good and then you sort of give up the project entirely. ... Or maybe that's just me.
If anyone has any superduper good fan fics or something like that, hand them over :) Doesn't necessarily have to be a shipper fic, but just anything. Hand it over, I'd love to read it. *misses fandom*

Quoting Buffy
The First (as the Mayor): So what'd ya thing? You'd get your soul back and everything'd be Jim-dandy? Soul's slippery than a greased weasel. Why do you think I sold mine? Well, you probably thought that you'd be your own man, and I respect that.
The First (as Drusilla): But you never will. You'll always be mine. You'll always be in the dark with me. Singing our little songs. You like our little songs, don't you? You've always liked them. Right from the beginning. And that's where we're going.
The First (as The Master): Right back to the beginning. Not the bang, not the word, the true beginning. The next few months are going to be quite a ride. And I think we're all going to learn something about ourselves in the process. You'll learn you're a pathetic schmuck, if you haven't already. Look at you, trying to do what's right. Just like her. You still don't get it. It's not about right. Not about wrong.
The First (as Buffy): It's about power.

The Unusuals
I just saw The Unusuals with Amber Tamblyn (pilot episode) and it was pretty frickin' awesome. ♥ Loved it in a good way. I think it has a lot of potential of being really good. What did you guys think about it? Did anyone see it besides me? How were the ratings?

Lovely morning glory
If Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles gets cancelled, I'll be a very very sad chica. The show is pretty cool and I love the Cameron/John thing. THEY CAN'T LEAVE IT LIKE IT IS NOW. WHAT ABOUT THE FUTURE?
Lately, I've been so tired that I've gone up too late so it's always ended with me rushing out of the house in stress so I can catch the bus without eating breakfast. I don't really know what I've done but I've been exhausted lately. And tomorrow I'm going to dad's because they're going out of town and I'm going to be there - studying :D :D And taking care of the cat, obviously. ^^
Also, I haven't seen House in forever, I just realized that by reading my flist. I stopped watching when House/Cuddy became a thing. Not BECAUSE they became a thing, but that relationship has never really done it for me and there was a long lack of Wilson which made me abandon the show right now. House/Wilson is epic. ♥ I love and remember all those lovely storylines (for example House and Wilson's long going fight because of the thing with the Vicodin etc) that happened back in the day. Where are they? *sniff*

Info on Wicca?
I'm going to write an essay on Wicca. And I don't know. For me, religion is so difficult to write about because it's not exactly as though you're talking about the weather. And just something like 'the history of Wicca' can be seen as incredibly complicated depending on your definition. Sort of. There's sort of a factual aspect of it (or at least an analytical one) and one religious.
Eeek. I really really want to do well on this essay. Not because I want to achieve some sort of grade, but because it's so incredibly interesting. I've got most of it down but some... let's just say something remains to be seen. I know years ago I knew about 59656450 different, wonderful sources for information. Most of them seem to have disappeared.
Anyone who has any?

I miss the good old times and look forward to the future...
Confession time: I sort of miss the Doctor Who fandom. Even though I didn't really appreciate season three (but there were some good episodes such as Human Nature/The Family of Blood, Blink, The Shakespeare Code and The Sound of Drums) or season four (exceptions made for Partners in Crime, The Fires of Pompeii, Planet of Ood and The Unicorn and the Wasp and possibly Turn Left). But I still miss it. The fandom and the British English. But I'm megaexcited for the new Doctor and everything that's coming up later and I hope that the specials we are going to be given are going to be good.
Everyone should watch Dollhouse. Honestly. The show is so awesome ♥ I will have picspam later and an episode review of the most recent episode because this show needs lovin'.
