Here is the story of how I went overboard with her picspammage.

Okay, so I was sitting there and I thought 'hey, let's make a picspam' while I was making icons and it just so happened that I stumbled upon a site with screen captures and... voilá. I think my madness speaks better if I show you.

Ahhh, the awkward video message to the bride and groom. Priceless. I really like how they're both 'how do I get myself out of this mess?' in the second last picture and the last they're like 'to hell with it, smile'.

Oh, you know all that hope is bound to be shattered one day...

I think that the different reactions on their faces as Lois realises that she's just been talking dirty shows that they had really been paying attention to different things. Clark wasn't really listening to a word Lois was saying, but rather staring at her pretty face.

Dang. Poor Lois, but sadly, this isn't the only blow her hope is going to take. I think, on some level she knew that he was reading Jimmy's vowels, but she sort of turned and hoped that he would be looking at her or something meanwhile. Sadly, her romantic and slightly silly side, was wrong.

I won't interrupt this next scene by any commentary on my part, but I just want to point out how, at the beginning, how Clark's already eyeing Lois, before she notices him...

"Want a glass with that?"
"Oliver. Just the person I wanna see right now."
"Hehe. So, eh, care to tell me what started this lost weekend?"
"Go in and enjoy the party. Trust me, it'll be a real buzz kill listening to me whine like Patsy Cline."
"Yeah, you're probably right. You know, eh, I may not be on the top of your confidant list, but... if you ever wanna talk I'm here."
"I'm just having all these feelings and I... don't know what they mean (sigh)"
"Oh. (pause) Who's the lucky guy?"
"Having this conversation with an ex is bad enough without turning up the awkward dial."
"Eh. You know, there's moving on in theory, and then there's the moment that it actually happens. If you'd like to we could start now and I'll just be a really good friend."
"Okay. (pause) It's like... I was going along and it just snuck up on me. And I tried to ignore it but then there's these moments, that you can't. Maybe I was reading it wrong. And to add insult to injury it all went down at tonight's tribute to romantic bliss. (sighs) I know it sounds sappy... but I thought... Just for a minute... Someone needed me."
"Well, I'm sure he needs you, Lois."
(snort) "That's sweet of you to say but, how do you know?"
(pause) "'Cause I know Clark."

"Lois... How're you holding up?"
"Jimmy's in bad shape."
"The nurse said they have him stablized."
"But he's not out of the woods yet. He has severe internal bleeding, they might get him to Star City to one of the country's top surgeons. I'm gonna go with him. (pause) I'll stay there till I hear from... Chloe. (long pause) Why did this have to happen to her? Why do all of these terrible things keep happening all around us?"
(Clark hugs her) "I promise. We're going to get Chloe back."
"What if we can't?"
(Lois leaves)

To me, it sort of seems like even though they were talking about Jimmy and Chloe, they might as well could've been talking about their relationship. Jimmy = Lois. Chloe = feelings. Or something like that. You know what I mean? Sort of, 'I'm really not okay so I'm gonna go away' - 'But I thought we were okay' - 'I'm gonna stay there till I hear something that makes me come back. ... Why did everything have to fall apart' - 'We're gonna be okay?' - 'What if we won't?'

Or maybe that's just my sleep deprivation talking ;)

What did you think of my picspam? Approved? :) Thoughts, comments?
The lines to the pics were done by me while listening to clips so there might be some stuff wrong with it.

I loved this episode, not just for the awesome Lois and Clark scenes but also because of Lois' scene with Oliver. It was a heartfelt conversation and Oliver was being really sweet to Lois.

And I totally agree about the last conversation. Lois is clearly hurt, she's shown a lot of vulnerability towards Clark and they have really grown closer this season. With Lana back, it's understandable that Lois thinks that it will change everything. Aside from that, I think Lois is doing a very decent thing by going with Jimmy. Not only because there isn't much else she can do at the moment, but also because Jimmy needs someone by his side right now.

argh, I can't wait until January.

Exactly. I think it was really sweet of someone to think about Jimmy while everyone else were thinking of Chloe. I just think it was incredibly mature of Lois to realize that there was nothing she could do and then try to do the best that she could of the situation.

I can't wait for new episodes either, but I don't think I'll be watching unless... well, there's a mention of Lois or Lois in an actual episode. Not because I hate the show if she's not in it but rather... I don't know, I just think that the episodes are more interesting. Seeing Lois and Clark's relationship develop is one of the reasons I'm still watching this show after all these years :P

Humm, interesting thoughts about the end of the episode. I think it makes sense in a way. They always talk around their feelings, and yes, they both may have been referring to each other, and the way things turned out between them.

I love the picspam and this episode was so sad, and the Clois was amazing! Thanks for sharing!

I'm so glad you like it. I think one of my favourite bits about this episode is that everytime that Clark shows that he really likes her or that he's terribly concerned and whatnot, Lois somehow fails to notice. They're sort of off key or something. For example, when Lois turns around to walk away, it seems like Clark is trying to say something but he ends up not being able to. Which I think is sort of beautiful and tragic at the same time.

The picspam is so awesome, I so agrees with you on the last scene, Lois is so hurt and everything and Clark is so conflicted about everything going on with Lana, Lois, JImmy's situation and Chloe's disapearence.

Great picspam! Aww, this episode had so many great Clois moments. Those two are just perfect. And I love the Lollie scene.

And yes, it was awesome that Clark was the one who was staring at her. I was squeeing when he grabbed her hand. He's never been that bold with any other woman, except when he's on red k. Lois is special! ;D
