The eternal question

I hope you saw the icons I made (if not, a link is provided in my previous entry, or it will be provided here). I think I made so many pretty ones (I've started to use texts and textures and stuff more which makes the icons so much more fun because you start focusing on the icons as individuals rather than as a group which gives each of them a specific character), I'm only sad because I don't have enough space to use each of them, which is unusual to me. I usually hate my own icons, with a few, very rare exceptions.
I saw another FNL episode. Probably eight hundred episodes behind everyone else but whatever. + Lyla/Daddy moment. ♥ I love Buddy Garrity so darn much, he's my favourite parent for some reason. I know everyone goes on about Coach and Mrs Coach and how they're all so awesome - which is true - but I think Buddy gained a lot of cool points this episode. I think I sort of loved it because up until this episode I always sort of assumed that Buddy lived for football and that was the only thing that he cared about, but he turns out to actually be a good dad who puts family first which I loved ♥

Just because I'm such a sentimentalist I had to make a little art thing.
+ I ship Lyla/Tim. Not in a 'OMG they are the biggest OTP ever on this show' sort of way but I ship them. I think the actors have really good chemistry and even though the whole Jason/Lyla/Tim thing was so fucked up, it sort of made sense without making sense and without going overboard with the drama. But I also ship a bunch of other people, like Julie/Matt (they seem pretty adorable) and I sort of liked Smash/Tyra, even if it wouldn't make any sense but I just... liked it. Now, that's out there. I also ship... who else do I ship? I guess ship is a strong word for this show since I'm pretty fine with whatever floats the boat (although I do like Tim/Lyla a bit more than the others) but yeah.
+ Friendships I like are... well, Landry/Matt pretty much rocks the world. I'm just saying. They would cease to function without each other.
Oh, score. That had me laughing for... well, forever. So much I have to insert another art thingy.

Anyway, I could probably go on forever if you let me so... I'll stop here and continue later after I've watched more episodes.
I'm really excited about True Blood. I can't wait to see it. Anna Paquin is awesome (or at least she is in X-Men, I haven't seen her in anything else unfortunately).
Lately I've gotten a bit of a cough which is a bummer to start your vacation off like that, but I'll survive.
I borrowed American Psycho and some other book... Love Lies Bleeding, at the library but I think I'm going to return them because... they aren't really books that I felt really psyched about reading. *sigh* I've been going back and forth there all week, or so it feels like, returning books I haven't even read because I realized I'm not in the mood to read them.
Also, I'm planning to write a book as my final project (It's a thing we do in Sweden - we have a project which we do our final year and then we turn it in at the end of the year and do a presentation on it and then get graded for it). At first I was thinking that I was going to write a book with vampires in them, now I'm thinking about taking a page out of Friday Night Lights (because I'm so damn in love with this show at the moment) and center it around people who like football à la FNL style (although put my personal spin on it). That way I learn something about American football (which totally makes no sense to me whatsoever. Please explain why it is called football) and if I put it in an... oh well, I don't know. I don't even know if I wanna write it in Swedish or English, which I think would have a huge impact on who I get as a supervisor - even if it's perhaps a minor detail.
So, what do you think? English or Swedish? Help!
Huge happy birthday to

Julie: "So, have you heard any good things about the movie?"
Matt: "Oh, yeah. One of my people recommended it to me, so."
Julie: (amused) "You mean Landry?"

Date: 2008-06-16 10:44 pm (UTC)I used to feel like the english language was sort of a muse just by it self you know? I get the feeling you're familiar with that too! ;)
Btw, do you have any tips on books that I should read this summer? I feel like I haven't read anything for ages, I'm overdue! 8P

Date: 2008-06-16 10:54 pm (UTC)The English language is by far the prettiest but Swedish is my native tongue, you know?
Books? Well, because I'm such a romantic sap, I'd recommend Jane Austen, any day, other than that I ADORE the Fearless series by Francine Pascal and... well... The Twilight books by Stephanie Meyer is widely popular and I've read about 97% of the first book and am actively trying to find it in the library to reread it. Vampires ♥
There you have some to get you started ;)
Oh, and you need to watch FNL. Just so you know ;)

Thank you! I'll look into those! :D Even though I will have depressingly little free-time this summer, I feel like I have to read at least one or two books. But they have to be great, I don't want to feel like I'm waisting my time you know?! :P
Haha, maybe I should! XD I had nooo idea what the heck you were babbling about there in the beginning....but it seemed great! 8D
