Torchwood was good and international economy

I really like this icon.

I just saw Torchwood. I really liked the episode, especially the drama bits, however I wasn't so fond of the alien bits with the whole 'let's kill people' scenes with all the blood and stupid arms. Torchwood can really be good sometimes, but it often comes across as rushed and as if it's a parody of itself sometimes. However, I think all the characters really made a great performance this episode (it's not really a spoiler so I'm not cutting it). I especially liked that Beth girl, who turned out to be an alien, and her husband Mike. However, I was really annoyed when she came back to say goodbye and somehow stabbed him. I mean, it was a lovely scene - why did they have her stab him? I think it spoiled the entire moment. Also, Ianto, you deserve some extra credit for being so... awesome and Owen for being mature. I love it when the script is good, which I think it was this episode.

Can anyone tell me the benefits of an international market with minimum state influence? I'm doing this debate tomorrow and I have no idea what to say.
