Baking

It's kinda funny how my mother has every cookbook known to man (or at least it feels that way). Some of them seem to be from 56 B.C. while others are brand new. But none of them contain the recipe for buns.

Buns.

The most commonly baked thing in the history of Sweden. No recipe anywhere. In any of her one hundred cookbooks. I think I'm gonna take a picture and show you so you can see that as far as my mother's concerned, she's the library of cookbooks.

Update: Well... My sister just said that it's in the back of every flour carton in the country. Which is also why it's not in any cook book. Erhm... Yeah, well... I knew that ;)

I'm off to the kitchen to bake something for the first time in at least a year and a half (not counting yesterday 'cause chocolate balls doesn't count). I'll let let you know how it went.

The art of being ruthless

I was going to be hard. I was going to be ruthless. I was going to completely revamp my userpics. I was going to delete a bunch.

I was going to completely change everything.

Number of userpics when I started: 110
Number of userpics after major revamp: 100

As you can see, I still need to learn the true definition of ruthless.

Baking minute by minute:
15.00 Goes back to the buns. The dough has become the double size. Good.
15.13 Dough reduced to almost half-size once I tried to get it loose from the edges. Oops. Is it supposed to do that?
15.20 Goes into a panic once I remember that I've forgotten the butter.
15.36 The dough is now bathing in a sea of butter after a phonecall to my mother who said that I needed to "work in" the melted butter into the dough, otherwise it would be very dry.

I have news!

I suddenly remember, I have news! :D (Suddenly, I have lots to write even though I've been in a complete blog-desert zone)

I'm going to Malmö with my school. Well, a guy named Pontus and myself. We're going to fly *shivers in terror* For those who don't know, flying is the ultimate terror for me. Last time I flew was Stockholm-Umeå, which is a 50 minute plane ride, very safe, totally innocent and there's basically no danger in it, but I cried the entire trip. I started ten minutes before take off and I stopped about three minutes before we were going to land.

So.

Safe to say, I have a problem.

Anyone got a 'get rid of your fear of flying within a week' technique they would like to share? My mom suggested that I could be out on drugs while I'm flying but I don't know how they feel about flying people who are unconscious. I can imagine it would go against their policy a bit. I wish it didn't. That would make my situation, at least temporarily, a lot easier. I mean, I don't know this Pontus guy and it would be extremely embarrassing if I started to crush his hand when the plane starts (with my mom it's fine 'cause you know... she's my mom) or cry or anything like that.

Houston, we have a problem.

I absolutely love The Prince Who Turned Into A Frog. I just saw episode 15 and...

• Tian Yu/Dang-ou was totally my OTP before, but Tian Yu/Zi Qian wouldn't be so bad either. They would compliment each other well. Both with incredible kindness and warmth. Kinda makes me think that Jun Hao and Yun Xi deserve each other. Yun Xi is pretty psychotic in my point of view, spoiled rotten and lacking any kind of empathy towards other people unless it's convenient for her.


• Tian Yu/Zi Qian/Jun Hao = biggest ot3 ever!

I don't know why every Asian show makes me want to eat noodles. I've been in a mood for noodles for days now. IT'S NOT HEALTHY! And the thing is that after a while, when I finally get to eat my dearly anticipated noodles, it probably won't be that good and I'll be disappointed.

Anyway... I gotta go. I just wanted to share the squee ;)
