Empathy and Heroes casting thoughts
Jun. 10th, 2007 01:08 amI've been rewatching and introducing Doctor Who Season One to a friend of mine and guess what? She LOVES it! I knew she would and I'm so happy that she does. She thought the special effects so far (up to like episode six) were a bit B-ish but she completely adores the acting and she says she gets completely involved with all the storylines and that the acting is superb. Also, she had somehow missed that it was a British show *hugs her* She's made of awesome.
Happy birthday
morbidmuse and
sidewalk_doctor! I hope you both have/have had awesome birthdays :D
So new episode of Doctor Who is up? Well, I obviously can't start downloading it now since it's midnight and I've "turned around the clock" like crazy and I can't stay up to 2 AM again. That would be cruel... to Sandra (my friend) and my sister, who have decided that we are going to have a Doctor Who marathon tomorrow. After that we're going to see Heroes!!! (yes, I've made sure she's very aware about the Petrelli love *evil grin*) But since we're halfway through season one and there's three seasons of Doctor Who... it's going to take a while. But still... Heroes is worth the wait :D
My sister, my little sister (not
lauren_sark), went to the hospital today because she fell really bad and had this awful cut on her knee. 16 stitches I think was what she got for it. I feel like a bad sister because when I came home (I was first home), she jumped as she opened the door and I saw her cut and was like "Ouch. That looks pretty bad. Does it hurt? How did it happen? .... Well, let me know if you need any help." But then my sister and mother came home and they were like... totally hyper about it. "Oh my! How did this happen? Does it hurt? Have you tried cleaning it out? Maybe we should go to the hospital... Ouch, it looks pretty painful. Oh you poor thing... You probably need to go to the hospital..."
So there they were, all concerned and I had acted about ten minutes earlier like it was a bruise or something. Er.... *looks innocent* Yeah, ten points to me... or not. But I don't know. Cuts are cuts and I suppose I just reasoned that she wasn't going to die or anything so it was cool. It was going to sort itself out. But still... makes me feel very empathic you know? :P
And concerning these rumours that David Anders might or might not be on Heroes: Am I the only one that's not all over the moon about this? I mean, DA is a pretty "famous" actor (awesome but he's more or less known for one role and is always linked to it somehow) and he's pretty well-known in TV circles... I'd just hate to see another version of Sark jump up on my television screen. I prefer people that aren't that well-known that can really make the characters believable (not that DA isn't capable of doing so but the thing is that people will be all 'omg Sark!!!' when they see him) and I know that Christopher Eccleston is far from an unknown actor but the thing is/was that he wasn't at all well known on American screens and not such a conventional choice, whereas I feel David Anders is/might be. But who knows... But I'm not keeping my fingers crossed. He might be awesome, he might not be... He might get a part... he might not.
Happy birthday
