starsthatshine: (doctor who - across the void)
I've been rewatching and introducing Doctor Who Season One to a friend of mine and guess what? She LOVES it! I knew she would and I'm so happy that she does. She thought the special effects so far (up to like episode six) were a bit B-ish but she completely adores the acting and she says she gets completely involved with all the storylines and that the acting is superb. Also, she had somehow missed that it was a British show *hugs her* She's made of awesome.

Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] morbidmuse and [livejournal.com profile] sidewalk_doctor! I hope you both have/have had awesome birthdays :D

So new episode of Doctor Who is up? Well, I obviously can't start downloading it now since it's midnight and I've "turned around the clock" like crazy and I can't stay up to 2 AM again. That would be cruel... to Sandra (my friend) and my sister, who have decided that we are going to have a Doctor Who marathon tomorrow. After that we're going to see Heroes!!! (yes, I've made sure she's very aware about the Petrelli love *evil grin*) But since we're halfway through season one and there's three seasons of Doctor Who... it's going to take a while. But still... Heroes is worth the wait :D

My sister, my little sister (not [livejournal.com profile] lauren_sark), went to the hospital today because she fell really bad and had this awful cut on her knee. 16 stitches I think was what she got for it. I feel like a bad sister because when I came home (I was first home), she jumped as she opened the door and I saw her cut and was like "Ouch. That looks pretty bad. Does it hurt? How did it happen? .... Well, let me know if you need any help." But then my sister and mother came home and they were like... totally hyper about it. "Oh my! How did this happen? Does it hurt? Have you tried cleaning it out? Maybe we should go to the hospital... Ouch, it looks pretty painful. Oh you poor thing... You probably need to go to the hospital..."

So there they were, all concerned and I had acted about ten minutes earlier like it was a bruise or something. Er.... *looks innocent* Yeah, ten points to me... or not. But I don't know. Cuts are cuts and I suppose I just reasoned that she wasn't going to die or anything so it was cool. It was going to sort itself out. But still... makes me feel very empathic you know? :P

And concerning these rumours that David Anders might or might not be on Heroes: Am I the only one that's not all over the moon about this? I mean, DA is a pretty "famous" actor (awesome but he's more or less known for one role and is always linked to it somehow) and he's pretty well-known in TV circles... I'd just hate to see another version of Sark jump up on my television screen. I prefer people that aren't that well-known that can really make the characters believable (not that DA isn't capable of doing so but the thing is that people will be all 'omg Sark!!!' when they see him) and I know that Christopher Eccleston is far from an unknown actor but the thing is/was that he wasn't at all well known on American screens and not such a conventional choice, whereas I feel David Anders is/might be. But who knows... But I'm not keeping my fingers crossed. He might be awesome, he might not be... He might get a part... he might not.
starsthatshine: (disney - how does it feel getting burned)
So, people who have seen Blink says it's absolutely brilliant. That's interesting and makes me happy because I have zero expectations in terms of Blink. And why does that make me happy? Well:

Good reviews + zero expectations = no disappointment :D

Can't wait though. Just an hour and a half before I can start watching it, but it's gonna take longer than that because my friend Sandra is coming over to see more Doctor Who (and possibly some Petrellicest action Heroes, if she feels like it). There's so many shows that awesome girl haven't seen yet. Like Traveler (OMG! I forgot to review the latest episode! *headdesk* I'm such a bad fan!) and well, Heroes.

Please welcome [livejournal.com profile] maechi to my flist :D (I saw you added me, so I added you back :D, I hope that was the intention and all :D) Huuuge welcome to you :D

And since I woke up about twenty minutes ago, I don't have much else to say that's new about my day other than that I went to bed half past three *headdesk in tiredness* And well... more updates to come :D

Doctor Who | 3x10 Blink )

I just loved everything about this episode. I think I might do icons... and then perhaps a lot of fan fictions. Lots and lots and lots.

Title: Someone To Watch Over You
Characters: Peter, Nathan and the occasional appearance by Mama and Papa Petrelli
Spoilers: 1x23 'How To Stop An Exploding Man'
Summary: Nathan remembers the first time Peter thought he could be a hero.
Rating: G
Notes: A look into the Petrelli past (there so needs to be an episode รก la Company Man because I can't get enough of the twisted family that is the Petrelli family). Also, the line between slash and gen is extremely thin when it comes to the Petrelli brothers ;) But I suppose I think of this as gen. No kissing and all so... And as far as Nathan's age is concerned, I actually don't know how old he is (does anyone know?) but he has to be a lot older than Peter to have done all the things that his campaign video says and I think it's canon that there's a huge age gap, right? Anyway, my sister is glaring at me because of the age stuff, but... we don't exactly know how old Nathan is so... It is possible ;)
