Desperate Housewives. Similarities. Becomming

Today is Desperate Housewives starting here in Sweden, I'm the only one in my family that's gonna watch it though. For my sister (the twin) and my mother it's colliding with Crossing Jordan, a show that my mom decided was more worth watching than Crossing Jordan. What is your thoughts about Desperate Housewives: is it any good?
