I have gone back to my favourite thing about LiveJournal (besides my flist): icon changing. Seriously, I have probably millions of new icons it feels like and soon I'll do a complete icon make over. That does sound nice doesn't it? Also, there's a new layout in my blog:
aliasagent. It's no longer Boxer but Opal. From Mischa Barton to Harry Potter. The colours suck though.
What else? Hmm. I dont have hosting by Fan-sites.org which completely blows because I did do this fantastic layout for my Tom Welling site. I need to either apply back in a while or find someone who's willing to host me with about one gig as space and perferrably unlimited brandwith. Which is just as likely as I find a fish in the desert.
I have a new pairing that I love beyond everything else (sort of) - Remus/Sirius (which I guess isn't the most original pairing in the world). I love fics that are set when they are at Hogwarts.... Can anyone rec me those kinds of stories and maybe some good Lily/Snape if you've come across any? I'd love you forever.

As for Lily/Snape... I've been dying to find good fics for this pairing, too (actually, good and angsty would be the right word). It's hard b/c they're not popular b/c of Lily/James, but have you ever read this essay? It's amazing. At the end, there are some fic recs. Not all of them are all that great, but some are definitely worth it.

That essay made me consider the pairing and then made me a fan. The essay is fantastic is it not?

I definitely see the infatuation to be more one-sided, but after reading HBP, I am more than convinced that the two of them are connected on a much higher level than just classmates.

Date: 2005-08-15 04:04 pm (UTC)Oh, there is, without a doubt, a connection between Snape and Lily. Aside from the fact that, when asked if either Remus or Snape had a crush on Lily, JKR only answered for Remus and easily side-stepped the Snape part, the whole potions thing is certainly a factor.
I happen to see it as more of an unrequited love, on Snape's part, than mutual, but Lily probably felt SOMETHING, as well. In regards to the pensieve, I think that Lily's willingness to defend Snape probably has a lot to do with whatever relationship they had, especially since she seemed SO surprised that Snape insulted her after she had tried to help him.
