Seven Crows and DVDs

I'm seriously starting to read Seven Crows all over again that I got from
pyleanelf at Christmas (yeah it has taken me a time to get time to read it with the attention that it deserved). And I just love it so far, I've just read the first 53 pages but it's so adorable.
I love how they portrait Sam. She's strong, happy and well... dedicated. She's one of those characters that I'd always want to see more of than just a few minutes in one episode. I have a serious grudge against Riley but in Seven Crows so far I find him... acceptable.
The timeline is weird to me though, Buffy is a conselour, which suggest that the story takes place in season seven, which I can handle. And that would mean that it's season four in Angel's world and that would give me the quick question: Where is Connor? Cordelia I guess is missing and well... Angel is out of the ocean but maybe it's just after he kicks Connor out? So maybe the timeline isn't that messed up after all.
So far the portrait of Buffy/Angel love is very vauge but it's still there, which makes me love the book already. "And you make sure that she gets enough food. She looks too skinny to me." is just one of those lines that are such love that I probably wouldn't (or couldn't live without) and the idea of Buffy agreeing to have a joint bedroom with Angel (not the same though) is quite sweet but a part of me wonders where confused!Buffy went on that plane to Arizona? Maybe she's still in the bathroom? :P
Since I love Sam so greatly so far in this book, I ship her with all three of the others. Riley, Buffy and Angel. I'm not saying that I'm starting to think that Sam/Angel is the greatest lovestory ever but it's sweet, interesting and I would really like to see it develop to some humourous friendship with some romance undertones, if you get my meanning.
The book however, starts really slow and it's hard to pick up an intrest in the beginning with the people that are the victims although when the story starts to begin it seems much more interesting and filled with much more promise.
I also loved the idea how Riley and Sam never said out loud who they were going to call. Riley thought of Buffy while Sam thought about Angel, who she thought was the perfect candidate even though she hadn't met him. Riley and Sam really seems to have been made in the married people's heaven or something. I still hate Riley though.
I'm intruged where the story will go.
Now, for you who haven't read my talk about Seven Crows, feel either very fortunate or unfortunate - your choice. I'm happy there isn't a Spike in this story though, I have a serious grudge against that man but that's for another time.
I feel like either buying Smallville or Buffy on DVD. I'm thinking season four of Buffy for some reason or season two or four (when it gets out) of Smallville.
