New Harry Potter OTP!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, I have a new Harry Potter OTP!! It's no longer Ron/Hermione, sadly. Now it's Ron/Luna!! Basically I started reading Order of the Phoenix to see if there was a possibility that I would be able to ship Harry with someone female, but I found Ron/Luna instead. In honour of my new found love for the two I'm gonna try to make a fic (hide and run for cover!)

He was in a dress shop for children when he heard someone behind him. He turned around and saw a witch with beautiful almost brown hair and very pale eyebrows, smiling at him.

“Ron!” she said happily and hugged him. “What a surprise to see you here!”

This was an awkward moment in Ron Weasley’s life. He had no idea what he should say to her, so all he did was stare for a moment: she seemed familiar but he couldn’t quite place her. He was sure that he’d met her in Hogwarts but it had been a while since he’d met anyone from Hogwarts if you didn’t count Neville and Ginny, who he went out for tea with every week.

“Oh, it’s Luna by the way.” The witch reminded him and she rolled her eyes lightly. “Luna Lovegood.”

“Oh!” He felt sort of silly that he’d forgotten her. “I’m sorry, off course I remember you. How are you? And I reckon that your hair was a little bit more… blonde?” He wasn’t sure why he had asked that: he guessed he was just curious.

“Well, puberty happened and my hair darkened a bit. Just woke up one morning and woops, my hair was almost brown.” Luna gave him a smile. “Are you here shopping?”

Ron suddenly remembered the reason for his visit and mumbled that he was. “You work here?” he asked, it wasn’t a place where you’d usually place Luna.

“Yes, I work here.” Luna got a dress from a female customer and put it back on the shelf for her. “The Quibbler didn’t quite work out, I guess it wasn’t for me. So I work here these days.”

Ron looked around and realized that the store itself probably was a little bit Luna-like. The ceiling was high and the dark wood that the store was decorated in, gave a little bit home feeling to it. Off course, Ron knew nothing about decorating but this had to be one of the nicer stores.

“So what do you do for a living?” Luna asked gently when she sort of saw that Ron wasn’t going to comment on her previous statement.

“Ehh…” Ron always hated these questions, what he did with his life, it was like being back at Hogwarts and people asked him how much money his parents made. “I do nothing really… I try to get into Quidditch though, although I’m not that good, I guess.”

“Don’t be silly.” Luna said sweetly. “You are great; you could give that brother of yours a run for his money for sure.” Ron found to his surprise that he was blushing.

“I don’t know…” Ron said vaguely while looking at different dresses. “What do you think is suitable for a two year old?”

Luna laughed: it wasn’t one of those hysterical laughers that she made back in Hogwarts, but a sweeter one and off course, not as intense. “Not any of those dresses anyway, unless you want her to wait ten years before she can wear them. Over here.”

That's really it so far for me when it comes to news, if you want me ranting about my dad send me a message at MSN or AIM ;)

Ron/Luna? Shattering news for such a devoted Harry/Luna as myself. ;) Ron/Luna wouldn't be so bad... if only Ron learned to be a little more accepting and not so freaked out by Luna and her quirkiness (is that a word? :S). But then again I'm very biased. The bulletin board scene at the end with Harry and Luna converted me and I haven't been able to ship them with anyone else ever since, aside from a little Luna/Theodore. :)

lol. I'll keep my eyes open for that last little Harry/Luna scene then, I'm pretty much jumping around in OotP so... :P I dont know why I cant ship Harry with a female :P I can just see Harry with Draco for some bizarre reason

Lol! You and the other 50% of the HP fandom ;) I'm not that much of a slash fan except for when it's canon or almost canon so I haven't read that much about Harry/Draco. It sure beats Harry/Hermione or Harry/Ginny though. :P

LMAO. I thought Harry/Draco was very disliked... But that's me then ;) :P I can give you some good Draco/Harry links if you'd like, but you dont have to read it :)

Harry/Ginny *shivers* How can someone ship them? That is an idea that I dont really understand, I dont see how Harry could date his best friend's sister. It's just a bit weird for me.

Harry/Herm I can understand but I seriously dislike anything between them because... well... it's wrong :P

Give me a few links to good H/D one shots... I think my attention span isn't enough for chaptered fics at the moment :)

I dislike H/G and H/Hr for the same reasons you just said... just like to add how H/G has basically NO interaction in five books. Harry has more interaction with the girls in his quidditch team than Ginny. As for Harry/Hermione... they make good friends but sometimes their interaction reminds me of how Harry interacts with Mrs Weasley. o.O *scary, scary thought enters head*

Your Every Wish (http://glassesreflect.net/hd/youreverywish.html) - I think this is the right fic. At leased it has the same name.. .Anyway, this is the only Draco/Harry short story that I like :)

lol. I read so many chaptered Harry/Draco fics 'cause I dont really like those short stories, I want the angst and I want their relationship to seem real, that is something that takes a few chapters ;)

LMAO. You're right. Harry's interaction with Herm seems a lot like the one that he has with Mrs Weasley... And Mrs Weasley and Harry together - not a pretty sight :P
