The Annual Wishlist

All caught up on Ugly Betty now. I heart that show. So much. Tell me, can anyone say if Henry will return for antoher episode? I love him and I want him to be on the show again. That Halloween episode owned my heart.

It's actually kind of sick how happy just watching a TV show makes me. .... Do you think it's too late to make that doctor's appointment? ;) Anyway.... I thought that in honour of tradition - here's my annual Christmas wishlist:

Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special

My wishlist Christmas 2006:
1. Music. Anything from mixed CDs with music that makes you think of me, music I might enjoy to entire albums with either groups I like or new music that I haven't heard before but might enjoy.
2. Kane - "Acoustic Live in London" CD
3. Notebooks or Books. MacMillan English Dictionary For Advanced Learners (I'm a bit of a geek for wanting a dictionary for a Christmas present but I'm just drooling over the copy that's at my school). Buffy books: The Quotable Slayer, would be nice. Crossings, These Our Actors, Monster Island, Tempted Champions.
4. Scented candles. Probably the weirdest that you'll find on my wishlist for this year, but the truth is that I'm a candle-o-holic.
5. More paid account/user pics.
6. Television series. Again, burned on disc, bought - whatever, since my brandwith dies if I download any new tv shows. And Sweden isn't exactly known for good tv.
7. Fan Fictions. Fandoms? Any fandom. Look at it as a good time to convert me to anything ;) Harry Potter would be nice, Torchwood, Doctor Who, Ugly Betty, Freaks and Geeks, Supernatural, Lost, X-Men, Buffyverse, Firefly, Veronica Mars (Piz/Veronica only) are a few suggestions if you want to write me something but can't figure out any fandom.
8. Wall Calenders. Buffy, Smallville or something else.
9. X-Men comics.
10. Surprise me. Surprises are always nice.

These lists always make me so terribly nostalgic. *hugs everyone* I don't know why but for me, the Christmas feeling really hits when I make these lists. The list isn't made in any special order or anything, it's just something I wrote up as I went along.

Also, I know I'm terribly behind but what's happened to [livejournal.com profile] katschakai? Does anyone know? I know she's had her journal deleted for a really long time, or at least it feels that way, and she hasn't come back yet... *hugs* I really miss her.
