I wanna make an original fiction story but I'm stuck. You see, I wanna play around with these alternative universes and it's set in Sweden (it's the best to play with the settings you know) and it's about this girl who finds this guy that has sort of slipped through the border of these alternative universes.

What I need help with are these following things.
1) You who have seen Doctor Who may think 'OMG, she's so full of it... copy cat' but I need to find my own twist on this. Make it "my alternative universe or other world" story.
2) How the heck do you communicate with someone who doesn't know the language you're talking?

I'd appreciate all the suggestions I can get for this story. I'm acually pretty excited about this story, even though it might sound a little bit Doctor Who-ish. Of course, it's going to be a sort of love story (or a close friendship) but right now they are pretty dead. No way of communicating. It drives me nuts. LOL
