Harry/Draco ficlet
Name: Run for Cover
Written for:
15minuteficlets word: Missing
Fandom: Harry Potter, post-films/books
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Harry watched the roads pass by him as he sat on the Midnight Bus to an unknown location and Stan had promised him that Harry could go along until he had found a place to stay or until he had money left. Right now it looked as if he was going to be on that bus for the rest of his life.
He couldn't believe how stupid he'd been these past few months and how insanely naive. Draco Malfoy was evil, Death Eater or not. He'd always known that so what was it that made him create some sick twisted relationship with him? Draco probably wouldn't even know that he was missing.
The day had started just like any other day, Draco and Harry had woken up in bed together in Harry's flat and while Draco was making amused comments about Harry's hair and their activities last night, Harry made breakfast.
When Harry thought back on it, it was probably one of the more sweeter mornings they'd ever shared. Normally Draco rarely stayed for breakfast because he had to go to the Minsitery for work and Harry mostly had a hungover from the day before when they'd played 'I Never'.
The bus ran with such speed and the quick stops rarely surprised him anymore because he had grown quite use to them during the last eleven hours that he'd been there. Stan was talking to him about the latest news about Cornelius Fudge, who had resigned and left the Ministry in hands of much younger Percy Weasley, who was also getting married to Penelope Clearwater by the end of the year. Right now the conversation was more focused on the wedding.
"Gotta be hard, being the Minister and then have to plann a whole wedding with the future Mrs." Stan commented while sitting next to Harry. "I can't believe the pressure."
"I know Percy and if I'm correct he'd probably have all the dates and plans done by next week." Harry answered lightly while tapping his fingers against his leg.
The conversation was light and it made Harry feel a little bit better about himself. He wasn't sure why he had left Draco and gone onto the bus. It had just been some quick decision that he had while he cleaned the laundry.
He had realized how big of a part Draco was in his life and how the rest of his life was going to be and it scared him. It scared him to think that he would fall for Draco before Draco even started to care about him in the same way: their relationship had never been that serious ro begin with.
So for the first time in his life: Harry Potter ran.
What he didn't know was that back in the flat, a blonde haired boy was crying. Harry didn't know that he was missed.
The END
